Everybody Needs Somebody To Talk Them OFF The Ledge!

This is my cousin Shannen. Yep that's Shannen with an "E." I call her KeKe, she calls me KeKe. It's a long story but comedian Benji Brown is responsible for our name change from one day of gut wrenching laughter. Google him and Keke if you want a good laugh!

Nevertheless, she is hands down one of the best people I know. No, seriously...you might know some good people but she's like good, good! She's calm, she's patient, she's loving, she's forgiving.

She's one of those people who wants to see the good in everything and everybody ALL THE TIME. While we share the same bloodline and a lot of the same characteristics, I have to admit that she is a whole lotta things that I AM NOT! I will end a friendship, familyship, cousinship, partnership, clientship and anything else that needs to go to maintain my peace of mind. I'm a straight shooter and I don't have the energy for a whole lotta bullshit! But my cousin....oh she's well versed in scripture and in truth and will probably sit through some of your BS too.

I must admit that over the years I've gotten much better in my pursuit of patience. Some of it comes from maturity but a lot of it comes from talking to that one person who can bring calm to the storm. I've learned that everything does not require a response, everybody is not cut from the same cloth and every fight ain't always your battle to fight. Sometimes you've gotta let karma and the man upstairs handle things on your behalf.

Now for those of you whose patience and temperament is set up a lil different, then I suggest you get you a KeKe! Someone who listens without judgement, who's gonna give some sound advice, help you think through life's challenges and come up with a good righteous resolve. I've been blessed to have her as family and soon enough the world will be blessed to have her as a real therapist. Like... go sit on the couch therapist. I'm excited for this part of her journey and I'm sure that she'll bless others lives in the way that she has blessed mine. Stay tuned....
